Caynham Walks

There are several recommended walks in and around Caynham Village. Each is quite different and will give much pleasure to those who care to venture there! Please click the links below to read full walk descriptions

Walk 1 - circular walk eastwards, starting from the church. Allow 30 minutes with an optional 5-minute detour to Pervin. One stile. Distance: approximately 1 mile.

Walk 2 - circular walk from the church via Primrose Bank, an old bridge and along the old salt trail. Allow 45 minutes. 4 stiles. Distance: approximately 1.5 miles.

Walk 3 - circular walk northwards, from the church up to and around Caynham Camp, taking in spectacular views of the Shropshire hills and Ludlow. Allow 60 minutes plus time to explore Caynham Camp. 9 stiles. Distance approximately 2 miles

The Shropshire Way

The Shropshire Way Main Route is a long-distance path of some 200 miles, covering not only the wonderful Shropshire Hills in the South but also some of the historic towns and unique natural features in the North of the county. The Way crosses Caynham Parish on its way around the County.
