Local Groups

We meet monthly in either Caynham or Ashford Village Hall at 7:30pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Do come along if you would like to experience one of our meetings. There is usually a speaker, or some form of entertainment followed by a good chat over tea or coffee. We also organise trips and walks for our members so they can socialise at other times of the month.

Caynham Book Exchange

This friendly group meets in Caynham Village Hall at 10:30am on the second Monday of the month. It's a book group with a slight difference as we don't all read the same book but chat, review and swap books we've read and generally have a good natter over coffee. If you're interested in joining us and in socialising with a literary twist, contact Paula Spencer 01584 875419 or spencerpaula5@gmail.com

Caynham & District Gardening Society

We are a friendly and active Gardening Society. Our members range from novice to experienced. Meetings are usually on the first Tuesday of each month in Caynham Village Hall at 7.30pm. We enjoy a range of activities and speakers for the year, hold a raffle and run a competition. Fellow members enjoy a chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.  We usually have 3 garden trips during the year and hold our annual plant sale in May which is always very popular. For further information, contact Chris King 01584 876819.

Meets bimonthly at 7pm on the first Monday usually in Knowbury Memorial Hall and occasionally in Caynham or Clee Hill Village Halls

Caynham Walking Group

We meet on the second Saturday morning of the month. We are an informal, small and sedate group hoping that a few more walkers will join us. We usually manage up to five miles and choose different places within a 20-mile distance of Caynham with a pub at the end.  One of our recent walks was about 4.5 miles along the River Severn, around Trimpley Reservoir, through woodland and the arboretum at Upper Arley, where we stopped for a quick lunch. If you would like to see a little more of the beautiful countryside around Caynham, why not join us for a walk.  Please contact me for more details. Catherine (cathnewcombe@btinternet.com
