Caynham is a small rural community which can trace its history back to the Bronze Age settlement of the Camp, well before it featured in the Domesday Book. Stock rearing, dairy and arable farming have taken place here for centuries and continues today. Nowadays many of the villagers find it a pleasant place to live while earning their living further afield.
